Under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Rt. Hon. Chief Promise Reginald, the Omuma Local Government Area (LGA) has undergone notable development marked by major structural updates, infrastructural projects, and targeted community empowerment initiatives.
Key completed and ongoing projects under his administration include:
1. Infrastructure & Hospitality Development
Omuma Local Government Hotels: In a bid to boost local tourism and significantly enhance the council's internally generated revenue (IGR), the administration awarded and initiated the construction of an ultra-modern Local Government Hotel complex in Eberi, the headquarter of the council.
Road Networks: Within his early tenure, the administration prioritized local connectivity by successfully completing several key roads and critical infrastructural projects to improve transit across the LGA.
Eberi Market Project: The administration took over and completed structural work on the Eberi Market project located in Ward 1, revitalizing trade conditions for local merchants.
2. Healthcare Initiatives
Market Healthcare Center: To directly support the local trading community, a dedicated primary healthcare center was established right within the Eberi Market area to address immediate medical needs.
Ward 2 Hospital Expansion: The council initiated a major ongoing hospital construction project in Ward 2, backed by collaboration with the Rivers State Government to expand its long-term medical scope.
3. Energy & Community Safety ("Lightup Omuma")
Solar-Powered Streetlights: Under the Lightup Omuma initiative, the administration facilitated the installation of solar-powered streetlights across major public spaces and roads.
