King Walter Akinseh Unveils Soul-Stirring Roots Reggae Masterpiece, “Prophecy”
ABIA STATE, NIGERIA – The Nigerian music scene welcomes a profound sonic exploration as veteran singer-songwriter King Walter Akinseh officially releases his powerful new single, “Prophecy.” Hailing originally from Isinkpa Ihie in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area of Abia State, King Walter brings a rich cultural heritage and decades of artistic refinement to the forefront of contemporary African roots music.
King Walter’s musical odyssey began as far back as 1988, sparked by a profound, early affinity for songwriting as a teenager. Growing up immersed in the revolutionary and conscious sounds of global legends like Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, and Majek Fashek, he developed a deep, innate inclination toward reggae music—a genre that would ultimately become the vehicle for his life’s message.
“Prophecy” serves as a standout single from his highly anticipated debut music project, Two Thousand Souls. The track is a vivid proliferation of his spiritual, physical, and musical experiences gathered over decades of life and artistry. Rooted deeply in the ancient and authentic form of afro-centric musical idioms, the song boasts a rhythm, melody, and harmony that speak directly to the soul.
The production is a masterclass in organic instrumentation. Characterized by the brilliance and brightness of staccato-coined horn lines coupled with a percussive, orchestrated rhythm section, “Prophecy” matches true-to-heart songwriting with a sonorous vocal arrangement that paints a vivid synopsis of the artist’s divine calling.
Elevating the track to world-class standards is an elite lineup of musical heavyweights. “Prophecy” features exceptional contributions from Nathaniel Bassey, Shedrach John, Joan Emi, and Mike Osadodo. The pristine production is handled by QUINCY ALEX.O, with expert mixing and mastering by James Elukpo & Delizman. Adding an unmistakable layer of emotional depth is soulful trumpet work courtesy of the legendary Nathaniel Bassey.
“Prophecy” by King Walter Akinseh is officially available worldwide on all major music streaming platforms.
